Hello! My name is Grant Alexander. I am a Live Music Photographer based in Melbourne, Australia. I am also the principal photographer for Lilithia Reviews.

First and foremost, I am a fan of music. I have been passionate about live music for well over 20 years. My photography journey began as a punter, where I would sneak my pocket digital camera into gigs and take photos whilst cramped in the mosh on the barrier. This ignited my passion to shoot gigs as much as I could. I eventually upgraded my camera to a mirrorless Sony NEX-5R and began taking photos more seriously. A lot of my early shots are low angle and created a unique perspective in the shot. I now shoot with a Sony A7iii, 24–240mm F3.5–6.3.

I was always jealous of the photographers that were on the other side of the barrier and thought to myself that one day, that will be me. In late 2018, I joined the team at Lilithia Reviews as a writer and in March, 2019 my dream became a reality when I was given the opportunity to shoot my first gig as an ‘official photographer’ for Eric Nam at Melbourne’s 170 Russell. I want to thank my wonderful wife, Stef, for her love and support towards my passion for photography. Stef is also the creator and editor of Lilithia Reviews and without her, I would not of had the opportunities to shoot at some incredible gigs and events.
